Recovery from plastic surgery depends on how extensive the procedure is, how long it is, what type of anesthesia is used, and how experienced the surgeon is.  In experienced hands, the recovery is faster.  An additional factor is presence of bruises which can extend the recovery time. Recovery time is defined as the time it takes to go back to basic normal activities. It is very important information for prospective patients to know so that they can plan their optimal date to have the procedure performed. Normally the patient wants to know when can he or she can go back to work so it is important to know that for different procedures there will be varying recovery times.
